Perfect Party Ideas: Oh the Places You'll Go!
Sometimes, I can’t quite believe that my baby boy is about to become a Kindergartener! I know! Where did the time go? My littlest bear, Mr Teddy, has been doing so incredibly well this year as one of four students in a small, local home-school class. Mr Cake Design and I were getting pretty worried last year when our baby boy was struggling to meet his milestones, but under the tutelage of Mrs Pam, we have really seen him flourish! I know he is going to be absolutely ready to take on Kindergarten with his peers and I know he and we will be sad to see him leave this little school.
As a big thank you to Mrs Pam, I offered to cater and decorate for their graduation party! What was I thinking??? But 250 balloons, a bucket of paint, and several failed batches of meringues later, we were ready to party!
My little peanut led the charge as he recited the Pledge of Allegiance and then wowed mommy and daddy with some awesome songs!
Finally, after all the festivities, it was time to eat! I treated the guests to a delicious chocolate fudge cake with pastel rainbow frosting and a fabulous sprinkle faultline! The cake was topped with homemade meringue pops and peeps!
I had the best time decorating for this party, I created some funky wall art using some wooden letters and pastel paint, and sourced a fab backdrop for the kiddie photos. I purchased some pastel suitcase boxes from Michael’s to display my treats and created a funky organic balloon arch using a kit from Amazon!
